Les fantasmes actuels associés à l’intelligence artificielle (IA) trouvent leur origine dans la science-fiction (SF).
Bien avant qu’on parle d’IA, bien avant les découvertes d’Alan Turing dans les années 1950, les robots avaient déjà envahi la littérature de SF. Depuis, les représentations fictionnelles de l’IA ont évolué, inspirées en cela par les avancées scientifiques du moment.
Par exemple, l’IA n’est plus représentée comme un ordinateur géant centralisé et omnipotent mais au contraire comme une entité impalpable qui envahit le monde. On nage ici en pleine réalité car les IA sont désormais partout (assistant personnel, voiture, téléphone, etc.) mais certains thèmes de la SF restent de l’ordre de l’imaginaire. Au cours de cette table ronde, nous échangerons avec des spécialistes de la littérature, des neurosciences, de l’intelligence artificielle et de l’imaginaire techno-scientifique pour tenter de démêler Science et Fiction.
